Badges and Testwork session updates!
Badges!
Firstly, this is a reminder to all guides that the writer badge as well as other self clear badges will be due this Friday. Do get your Lang arts teacher to acknowledge if you haven't already done so (:
Here are various points to take note.
1) Guides are only required to submit the acknowledgment slip on Friday, no need to attach essays behind.
2) Some of you might be wondering about the reader's badge. Since we're required to read books, how do we prove to the Lang arts teacher that we've really read the books? Thus, Guides will have to either write a short paragraph summarizing the main content or plot of the book ( to show your Lang Arts teachers) or can alternatively choose to speak to their teachers about the book.
3)Speaker's badge will be optional for the company but Sec 3s will be able to fulfill the requirements for this badge during the current affairs testwork this Friday. ( Sec 3s, look below for more details.)
Testwork session this friday
1) Since some of the sec3s have already completed all or almost all the testworks allocated to the company, you can choose to complete the current affairs testwork and clear the speaker badges in the process.
Here's a preview of what you'll be doing to clear the testwork. ( No prior preparation needed, everything will be done on Friday itself). You have to choose an article on a particular topic( a list will be given for you to choose a topic out of those provided), then you will be given some time to prepare a speech about the topic with relation to the article. You will be required to speak to the testers ( PGA candidates) and they will also ask you some questions about the article.
