CCA on 30 July & 31 July 2021

 Here is a summary of what is happening for 30 and 31 July 2021:

30 July, Friday:

No CCA for Sec 1s, please use the time to do your GuidingLIGHT.

Sec 2s and 3s: No CCA unless you are a Gadgets Workshop Facilitator.

31 July, Saturday:

No CCA for Sec 1s.

Sec 2s and 3s: 

1. Gadget Workshop Facilitators will meet online at 10am. 

2. The rest of the Sec 2s and 3s will join the Zoom for your workshop directly. (please refer to this link for more Zoom details:  https://sites.google.com/moe.edu.sg/wdld2021/workshopsprogrammes/for-guides)

3. Sec 2s and 3s should either be joining a workshop that Ms Teng has signed you up for or should be joining the Gadgets Workshop to help out as facilitators.

4. If you cannot make it on Saturday, please inform Exco.

Tuesday 27/07/2021 Schedule

Attire:
Sec 1s-3s: FULL Guides uniform (refer to below for reminders on how to wear your uniform)  *HAIR MUST BE IN 2 PLEATS*
Note: wrong attire will result in PT for the whole patrol

Things to note
(a) Guide Uniform
1. Neat and ironed.

2. Blouse must be tucked in at all times, such that the belt buckle is visible.

3. Guide skirt must be knee-length. No longer. No shorter.
à Tip: Kneel down wearing your skirt. The hem of the skirt should touch the ground nicely, this is the right length!

4. Skirt pockets should be empty, so that it will not hinder movement.

5. All badges must be sewn and pinned on at the right places on the uniform. 
à REMEMBER the World BadgeTrefoil, Bronze/Silver/Gold badge, Thinking Day patch. 

6. The scarf must be secured under metal studs sewn to the uniform collar. It should also be tied neatly; the reef knot should form a neat square, and the ends of the scarf should be of equal length
à Tip: Iron the folds of your scarf before CCA. You can also tie your scarf and pin on the trefoil beforehand; this saves a lot of time when you put on your uniform!  
(b) Hat
1. Ironed and not crumpled.
à Tip: Starch your hat if possible!

2. To be folded and tucked under left epaulette when not worn.

3. Ensure that the hat badge is centralised, and that the elastic band is not visible.
(c) Accessories
1. No jewellery allowed. This includes ear studs and necklaces. Watches must also be taken off before the footdrill session.

2. Long hair (touching the state crest of the scarf) must be tied up neatly in a two pleats 

3. Hair accessories must be black in colour.

(d) White socks 

1. Socks are strictly to be all white

2. No ankle socks allowed. White socks must be 3 fingers above the ankle bone. 
à Do not try to cheat and turn your NY socks inside out.

List of reminders:

1. Please be punctual! Report by 4.30pm. Let your PLs know in advance if you know that you will be late for a valid reason.

2. Please read the email sent out thoroughly

3. Please check that you are in your FULL Guides uniform (especially your whistle, and pin-on badges)!! Take note of the above reminders on how to wear your uniform. Wrong attire WILL result in PT for your patrol. 

4. Everyone needs to find a device that has a working camera and mic. Cameras are to be on throughout the ENTIRE call. Try to position your device where your FULL BODY (from head to toe) can be seen before the call.

5. Please name yourself in the following format: level_patrol_name when entering the calls, if not we cannot and will not admit you

6. Test your zoom network beforehand if you know you have a problem, notify beforehand or try to fix it!

7. Do remember to work on your GuidingLIGHT assignments regularly. Thanks!!

2. Please be punctual in entering the respective batch zoom calls! If you really cannot make in on time because of a valid reason, notify the PLs beforehand so we know if we can move on, PLs do take note of your patrol’s attendance:)

3. *Remember to revise footdrill commands before the CCA session!!

4. Everyone needs to find a device that has a working camera and mic. Cameras are to be on throughout the ENTIRE call. Try to position your device where your FULL BODY (from head to toe) can be seen before the call.

5. Please name yourself in the following format: level_patrol_name when entering the calls, if not we cannot and will not admit you

6. Test your zoom network beforehand if you know you have a problem, notify beforehand or try to fix it!
