Facilitators and Participants needed for Craft Workshop

Hello Guides!

There is an upcoming craft workshop (CRAFT WORKSHOP!!) at Bukit Panjang Government High School.

Date: 5 July (dry run) (only facilitators)
         12 July (actual) (both facilitators and participants)
Time: 8am -12pm

We will need 15 Sec 2-4s to help out as facilitators and 10 Sec 1-2s to participate.

Guides who are free on the days mentioned above, please register with Mrs Ng by 1 July (Tuesday).

E-call List and First-aid Kit testwork

E-call list testwork
*Wide Game will be held at Tiong Bahru (for e-call list)*
Sec1s and 3s who have yet to clear/wish to clear their E-call list and First-Aid kit testworks can do so for LTC. The E-call list and First-Aid kit can be used during LTC.

Sec1s and 3s who are taking these testworks: Please print out a copy of the rubrics and fill in the necessary details and submit the rubrics together with your E-call list/First-Aid kit to the testwork Ics on the first day of camp.Rubrics of the testworks are below:

For this testwork, you are required to make a list of phone numbers including those of your family members, nearby amenities from home and the place of wide game, patrol members, guiders, school’s general office and the general emergency numbers. Remember to specify the names of the necessary details. No marks will be awarded if the names are not specified. (Eg: Raffles Medical Clinic instead of Clinic and Tay Boon Kee instead of Father.) The size of the e-call must be small enough to be able to fit into a wallet, and it must be waterproof. Additionally, it must be well-organised for quick reference.

It is compulsory for each patrol to have at least one first-aid kit and e-call list.

Things to note: 

 • To prepare for the testworks, Guides are to read and revise the relevant sections of the Guide Handbook (the one from HQ a.k.a the blue handbook) mentioned above.

 • Guides are reminded to take testworks seriously and study for respective testworks so that the session will be meaningful and not a waste of time for both the testers and the Guides taking the test.
