   Hey Guides!

Here is the schedule for CCA on 25th October, Tuesday. Do take note that CCA is for Sec 3 GUIDES ONLY on Tuesday.

1. *Everyone should report by 3.55pm!! Attendance Taking would be taken at SPR 8. 

2. Please be punctual. If you really cannot make in on time because of a valid reason, notify Exco beforehand :)) 

3. Please be in the right attire as stated above during CCA!! Wrong attire will result in PT for your batch. 

4. Please bring along your devices for CCA.

5. Do remember to work on your GuidingLIGHT assignments regularly. Thanks!!

Attire:

Full Guides uniform with 2 braids and white shoes


Things to take note:

*Hair should be in two braids

*Socks should NOT have NYGH logo and should be 3 fingers above your ankle

*No accessories (eg watches, earrings etc.) should be worn

Things to note

(a) Guide Uniform

1. Neat and ironed.


2. Blouse must be tucked in at all times, such that the belt buckle is visible.


3. Guide skirt must be knee-length. No longer. No shorter.

à Tip: Kneel down wearing your skirt. The hem of the skirt should touch the ground nicely, this is the right length!


4. Skirt pockets should be empty, so that it will not hinder movement.


5. All badges must be sewn and pinned on at the right places on the uniform. 

à REMEMBER the World Badge, Trefoil, Bronze/Silver/Gold badge, Thinking Day patch. 


6. The scarf must be secured under metal studs sewn to the uniform collar. It should also be tied neatly; the reef knot should form a neat square, and the ends of the scarf should be of equal length

à Tip: Iron the folds of your scarf before CCA. You can also tie your scarf and pin on the trefoil beforehand; this saves a lot of time when you put on your uniform!  

(b) Hat

1. Ironed and not crumpled.

à Tip: Starch your hat if possible!


2. To be folded and tucked under left epaulette when not worn.


3. Ensure that the hat badge is centralised, and that the elastic band is not visible.


4. Hat should be seasoned with the sides folded up. 

(c) Accessories

1. No jewellery allowed. This includes ear studs and necklaces. Watches must also be taken off before the session.


2. Long hair (touching the state crest of the scarf) must be in a two braids and short hair should be in a hairnet. 


3. Hair accessories must be black in colour.


4. Spectacle hooks for those wearing spectacles.


(d) White socks and white shoes


1. Socks are strictly to be all white.


2. No ankle socks allowed. White socks must be 3 fingers above the ankle bone. 

à Do not try to cheat and turn your NY socks inside out.

1. *Everyone should report by 8.30am!! Roll Call will be conducted in 2021- 2022 Patrols.

 

2. Please be punctual. If you really cannot make in on time because of a valid reason, notify the PLs beforehand and PLs do take note of your patrol’s attendance :)) 

 

3. Please refer to Google Classroom for more details on how to wear the uniform.

 

4. Sec 3s, please help to check that your patrol is in the right attire before the ceremony starts.


5. Please be in the right attire as stated above! Wrong attire will result in PT for your patrol!

 

6. Please bring your Guides shirt and PE shorts to change into after handover. 

 

7. Do remember to work on your GuidingLIGHT assignments regularly. Thanks!!

Attire:
Sec 1-4s: PE shirt + Guides skirt + Belt & Whistle + Hat + WHITE Socks + Boots 
+ Bun & net/hairnet + Specs hooks (if necessary)

Things to take note:
*Hair should be in LOW buns; if you have short hair, you are expected to come with your hairnet
*Socks should NOT have NYGH logo and should be 3 fingers above your ankle
*Boots should be POLISHED
*No accessories (eg watches, earrings etc.) should be worn

1. *Everyone should report by 4.00pm!! Roll Call will be conducted in 2021-2022 Patrols. 

2. Please be punctual. If you really cannot make in on time because of a valid reason, notify the PLs beforehand and PLs do take note of your patrol’s attendance :)) 

3. Please remember to familiarise yourselves with the Handover Ceremony procedure before the CCA session!
