Musical Rehearsal Schedule

This is my comment on the schedule:
2 Aug, Thurs: 2.30pm to 5pm 3.30pm
3 Aug, Fri: report for dinner at the canteen at 6pm, 2.30pm stay till 10.30pm
4 Aug, Sat: report for duty at 7pm, stay till 10.30pm

Please stay back on Thursday after the rehearsal so that I can check with you how we are all doing so far...you are not just workers to me. You are people I care about, let's see what we can work out.

Hello Guides,

Please note that there will be footdrill practice on Monday, 30th July, in preparation for NDFDP.

Time: 0715-0815
Attire: PE T-shirt with NY skirt and shorts, Polished Boots, White Socks, Hat, Spec Hooks, Hair/Bun Net
Venue: Area near the canteen

Things to note:
  • Applies to Guides in Group N only
  • Ensure you have your breakfast before reporting for practice
  • Bring your water bottles for practice
  • Have adequate rest the night before
  • Revise footdrill notes and parade procedure

LoA from 3rd Lang for Musical Helpers

Students involved in the Musical will be given LOA from 3rd Lang in Week 7 & 8 in order to attend the Musical rehearsals/show in the afternoon & night, that is, from 6 to 18 Aug.

West Division Day, 28 July, Saturday


Theme: We Can Save The Planet
Date:  28 July 2012 (Saturday)
Time: 8.30 am to 12.30 pm
Venue: Greenridge Secondary School

Timeline of events
0830 – 0900: Registration (exact amount for the registration fee would be greatly appreciated)
0900 – 0915: Briefing
0915 – 1200: Competitions
1200 – 1230: Prize Presentation
Each unit is required to bring their own first aid kit (at least one per coy/pack), stationery and art materials (depending on the nature of the competitions that your unit will be participating).
Other than the packed snacks which will be given out to the Brownies and Guides during the event, the hot drinks stall in the canteen will be open as well. Brownies and Guides may buy drinks, sandwiches and tidbits anytime during the event (but they must obtain the consent from their Guiders). Thus, do remind them to bring along sufficient money.

A piece of good news for everyone - Greenridge Secondary School presents "Superheroes save our planet"! You may get your Brownies and Guides to participate in this filler activity. There will not be any fixed timeslots, you may get your girls to go there any time during the event. There will be a craft guru who will teach your girls how to sew ribbons. Please remind your girls to bring old clothings, scissors, small safety pins and sewing kit if they are going for this filler activity.

Musical Rehearsal, 260712, Group H

Hi Group H,

Please note that there will be musical rehearsal tomorrow, 26th July, from 2.30pm-10pm.

Report at 111 classroom on the second level classroom block by 2.30PM SHARP, in hongzi. 

Things to note:
1) Please bring a set of black clothes: black shirt, black long pants and black shoes. If you do not have black shoes, it is okay to wear white shoes.
2) Bring something to do during breaks or the long waiting times in between. Please use the time wisely.
3) Take note of your partner (which was decided today during recess) and do not switch screen partners.
4) Please bring your consent forms for West Division Day. Punishments will be issued for those who do not hand up their consent forms by the end of the day.
5) Please inform your parents that the rehearsal MIGHT overrun and we might end later than 10pm.

Reminders for Group H members, 23/7

Attention all Group H members,

A couple of things for you to note:

1) There will be NO musical rehearsal for Tuesday 24/7. There WILL be musical rehearsal on 26/7, Thursday.

2) On Tuesday, 24/7 (tomorrow) please report to the canteen area by 2.45pm for attendance taking and a briefing by Miss Teng regarding musical and West Division Day. ALL GROUP H MEMBERS ARE TO BE PRESENT.

3) There was a parent's letter given out to all musical helpers today. If you did not receive it, please scroll to the next post below titled "Parent's letter, 23 July 2012, regarding extended musical rehearsals" and click on the link to access the online version. All group H members are to show their parents the letter, as well as notify them of the timing for the rehearsal on 26th July (included in the letter).

Musical Rehearsal for Term 3 Week 5

Dear Group H,
Please meet at 3pm at the canteen on 24/7, Tues. I will give you a briefing and Sandra, Andrea and Rachel will take attendance.
My briefing will be about Musical and about West Division Day on 28 July, which you will be attending. I will issue parent's letter and consent form about both events.
After the briefing, you can go home.

So CCA for group H this week is:
24/7, Tues, 3pm to 3.30pm, Briefing
26/7, Thurs, 2.30pm to 10pm, Musical Rehearsal. Briefing at 2.30pm in sec 1/11 classroom.
28/7, Sat, 8am to 12.30pm, West Division Day @ Greenridge Sec.

Those who would like to apply to stay over in the Boarding school on Thurs, 26/7, as we end at 10pm, should receive an email today about how to apply.

There is musical rehearsal on 24/7, Tuesday, 3pm to 10pm.

Musical Rehearsal details, 21 July 2012

Hi all members in Group H,

There will be musical rehearsal in school this coming Saturday, 21st July.

Time: 8am-1pm

Please report at 7.30am at canteen area for attendance taking before moving to our holding area.

Venue: 111 classroom (holding area)

Attire: PE attire with shorts and skirt

Things to note:

  • There might be long waiting times, so please bring a book to read or homework to do during these breaks
  • Pay attention to the rehearsal / teachers-in-charge so that you will know the cues
  • Please come punctually as the musical production team is running on a tight schedule
  • If anyone is still not sure if you are involved in musical rehearsals, please check the manpower allocation at the link " NYGG Manpower Allocation"
  • Please sms your PLs to indicate if you need to leave earlier than 1pm or if you are unable to make it for the rehearsal. PLs please collate attendance and forward to Sandra, Andrea or Rachel.
