GGS Carnival on Saturday, 27th June 09 @ 10am - 4pm

Dear all who will be attending the GGS Carnival this Saturday, please take note:
----------

Dear Guiders,

We hope you have had a well deserved break and are all geared up for the new semester.

The GGS carnival that we have all been looking forward to is just days away. Please take note of the following:

  1. There is no parking available at Guide House and the Bishan Sport Complex. However, parking is available at the ITE Bishan – about 100 – 200 metres away from Guide House. Parking there, although free, is limited. The next nearest carpark to Guide House is at Junction 8.

  2. If you and your girls are coming as a unit and travelling in a school bus, please alight at the bus-stop down the road from Guide House. Please have the bus driver to pick you up at the same location as where you alight. We seek your cooperation in this matter to avoid any traffic congestion outside of Guide House.

  3. We will definitely need to implement the temperature check and contact tracing procedure during the carnival. We need the help of all Guiders to take your own temperatures and your girls. You need to prepare a name list (Please download this form.) in advance of all your girls coming to the carnival. Please submit the name list to the temperature check counter at the HQ gate upon arrival. Those who are unwell or found to have flu like symptoms are strongly encouraged to rest at home.

  4. Girls and Guiders who have just returned from any of the H1N1 affected countries within 7 days prior to the date of the carnival should not attend the carnival. Please refer to the following MOH’s website for the latest update on the affected areas: http://www.moh.gov.sg/mohcorp/default.aspx
The affected countries as of today are:
    • United States of America
    • Mexico
    • Canada
    • Chile
    • United Kingdom
    • Australia
    • Argentina
    • Japan
    • Thailand
    • Spain
    • Hong Kong
    • The Philippines
    • Panama
    • Dominivan Republic
    • Indonesia

See you at the carnival!

Magazine Collection

Hello!

We are the ICs for West Division Day Card-Making competition. We need to gather a lot of magazines for the competition, so we would appreciate it if you can bring some old magazines from your home and donate them to us! The collection box is placed outside the guide room.

We also need coloured pens and markers for the competition, so if you don't mind lending them to us, please pass them to us, we're both in 303 :D

Thank you very much!

River Valley Campfire!

Group picture of Nanyang Guides :D

Hope everyone enjoyed themselves at the campfire, and to the next batch of Guides going for Zhenghua campfire later in the year, bring a smile along and enjoy the campfire too!

ATTENTION ALL GUIDES WHO WENT FOR WORLD SCHOLAR'S CUP DUTY!

Someone has mistakenly taken one of the blazers which we borrowed from the school and left theirs behind. The blazer left behind is a size M blazer with the number 114 on the tag. The blazer which was taken away by mistake is a size S.

If you happen to have brought home the wrong blazer by mistake, do approach the ACLs (either sms, call, email etc) ASAP.

Thank you:)
